A case of a grandfather raping his minor granddaughter has surfaced in West Bengal's Bangaon. The incident took place in the Chanda area of Bangaon when the accused elderly allegedly raped the girl after giving her sleeping pills. Following this, the man was arrested. Meanwhile, the girl is receiving treatment at a local hospital.
According to locals, after the death of their mother, the two minors lived in the house of their grandfather. Gradually, the grandfather's behavior began to change. Allegedly, after making the fourteen-year-old granddaughter unconscious with sleeping pills, the grandfather used to physically assault her. This happens more than once. He even threatened the victim.
However, suddenly on Sunday afternoon, she fell ill. As the family and neighbors became concerned, the minor told a woman in the neighborhood about the grandfather's deed. After that, on the initiative of that neighbor, a written complaint of rape of the granddaughter was filed at Bangaon police station.
